Donna Overholt Obituary
Donna Lucille Overholt, 87, of Tiffin, died at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at her residence.
Donna was born May 15, 1935, in Great Bend, Kansas, to Herman and Flora (Bunselmeyer) Fischer. She married Robert Allan Overholt on July 7, 1957, in Great Bend, Kansas, and he died Feb. 22, 2016. Donna then married Larry Clausing on Sept. 30, 2017, at Trinity United Church of Christ, and he survives.
Her blended family includes three sons, Richard Overholt of New York, New York, Dave (Emily) Clausing of Cincinnati, and Mark Clausing of Elkton, Maryland; two daughters, Rebecca (Dan) Traxler of Carmel, Indiana, and Barbara (Paul) Bjornstad of La Crosse Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Bo Sendi of Carmel, Indiana, Becky Clausing of Franklin, Tennessee, Beth (John) Clausing-Elliot of Fairfax, Virginia, and Jason Clausing of Elkton, Maryland; sister-in-law Norma Fischer of Great Bend, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, and brother, Herman Fischer Jr.
Donna was a graduate of Great Bend High School. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Heidelberg University and her Master's degree from Bowling Green State University. She was a retired educator. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, where she started and directed the handbell choir at Trinity for 40 years, served on Association Conference of United Church of Christ, and was a founding member and board member of Tiffin Glass Collectors Club, Berg Bravo Friends of Heidelberg Music, President of the Heidelberg Alumni Council, and Heidelberg Board of Trustees.
Visitation for family and friends will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-3113.
Donna's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2023, at Trinity United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Karsten Snitker officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to S.A.R.A. at Heartland Conference of United Church of Christ, Trinity UCC Music Fund, or Tiffin Glass Collectors Club.

Bob and Donna were my friends and in laws for over 35 years. They will both be missed, deeply. My thought are with my wife Becky and son Bo. May you be at peace.

I was her son-in-law for more than 32 years. She was a special person to me my wife Becky and my son Bo. Donna and Bob we're friends for many many years it will not easily be forgotten. It's with a heavy heart that I discovered this today. My thoughts are with all concerned.

What an honor it was for me to know her. A stubborn woman but one of the kindest ever and a laugh that sounded like a song and was truly lcontagious . My heart felt condolences to her entire family. Goodbye my friend, you are going to be missed.

I was one of the less (or least) talented participants in bell choir which Donna so patiently directed. She was a very kind and classy lady with a quick smile and good sense of humor. My heartfelt condolences to her loved ones.
