Brent Smith Obituary
Brent Alan Smith, 58, of Havelock, North Carolina, and formerly of Risingsun, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern, North Carolina.
He was born July 28, 1964, in Toledo, to the late Warren A. and Marilyn M. (Heckathorn) Smith.
Brent is survived by his siblings, Susan, Wayne, Carol, and Brian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Marilyn; and sister, Joann.
Brent was a 1983 graduate of Lakota High School and then served his country proudly in U.S. Navy. He was owner and operator of A to Z Appliance and Plumbing for many years and was also working for Carteret Craven Real Estate.
Brent's family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Carolina East Medical Center for the wonderful care Brent received.
Services for Brent will be announced.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne.
Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.

Warm condolences to all of Brent's family and friends. I have utilized Brent's services for roughly 25 years and always enjoyed working with him. He was hard working, honest and always with a kind word and a smile. May he Rest in Peace.

Prayers for Brent's family. He did plumbing for us on quite a few occasions. He was always so friendly and we always had go convetsations whenever we saw each other or he was doing plumbing work etc. Rest in Peace Brent.
