Barbara Kitchen Obituary
Barbara Ellen Kitchen, 88, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in Fostoria. She was born June 11, 1937, in Middletown, New York, to William and Clara (Malek) Bright. She married David K. Kitchen, August 29, 1970, in Monroe, Michigan, and he passed away March 18, 2022.
She is survived by children, Deborah E. (Michael) Kessler, Terry (Teresa) Gilbert, Lisa (Kevin) Althaus, Michael (Lori) Kitchen, and David (Sue Weyer) Kitchen; 13 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David K. Kitchen; daughter, Jennifer Byron; and brothers, Robert and William Bright.
Early on, Barbara worked as a legal secretary. She was then the owner and operator of Hollow Inn in McCutchenville for 28 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fostoria and a graduate of Middletown High School.
Funeral Service will be at noon Monday, April 13, 2026, at Harrold- Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Brent Nussbaum officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.
Memorials can be made to Bridge Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
