Ardinelle J. "A.J." Garcia

Ardinelle "A.J." Garcia, 79, of Tiffin, passed away at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

A.J. was born Sept. 27, 1943, in Tiffin, and her parents were Albert and Dorothea (Lindsay) Kingseed. She married the love of her life, Augustine "Willie" Garcia, on June 2, 1962, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tiffin, and he preceded her in death April 26, 2016.

A.J.'s survivors include her daughter, Laura (Alan) Barchus of Tiffin; five grandchildren, Miranda (Nick) Garcia, Andrew (Amber) Garcia, Austin Garcia, Lacey (Bird) Depinet, and Adrienne (Matt Dangel) Barchus; four great-grandsons, Austin Tank Barchus, and Karsen, Karter, and Kade Dangel; two sisters, Cindy (Leonard Skonecki) Swartz of Tiffin and Patty (Ronald) Frisch of Tiffin; and special nephew, Chad Swartz of Tiffin.

A.J. worked at Wal-Mart Pharmacy. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tiffin and was a member of the Terry Labonte fan club and even got to meet Richard Childress. She enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, Cleveland Indians, and Cincinnati Bengals. A.J. enjoyed most of all spending time with her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.

A.J. was preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul Albert Garcia; two grandsons, Alex Barchus and Adam (April) Barchus; and sister, Terri Kingseed.

A.J.'s funeral will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like all who plan to attend A.J.'s services to please wear your favorite sports or NASCAR team apparel. There will be no burial at this time.
