Thomas P. "Tom" Troiano

Thomas P. "Tom" Troiano, 68, of Sycamore, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic.

He was born Aug. 24, 1955, in Fostoria, to Lucian "Tony" and Virginia (Yeater) Troiano. He married his high school sweetheart, Dina Clark, on June 8, 1974.

Tom's survivors include his wife, Dina Troiano of Sycamore; daughter, Brittany (Rob) Pettry of Tiffin; brother, Mike Troiano of Tiffin; sisters, Susan Allen and Gloria McCrory, both of Tiffin, and Nancy Steinmetz of Huron; and three grandchildren, Brenton, Kennedy, and Elliott.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, John Troiano.

Tom was a 1973 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. After over 30 years in the field of engineering, he retired from Tiffin Metal as a mechanical engineer.

Wherever Tom was, one knew that good trouble was to be had. Tom had a personality that was full of loving sarcasm and quick comebacks. If there was a drink, he was there to share one. If there was a race, he was there to be a part of it. If it had an engine or a remote control, he was your man to fix it. He loved spending time in his shop where he tinkered around with his hobbies and shared that love with his family and friends. He was an avid pilot and builder of remote control airplanes, owned and raced sprint cars, enjoyed racing go-carts, building model trains, and building hotrods.

Tom's funeral will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Visitation for friends and family will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
