Thomas Hoffman Obituary
Thomas P. Hoffman, 87, of Helena passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, at Elmwood Assisted Living, Fremont.
He was born Sept. 8, 1934, in Burgoon, to Frank and Agnes (Foos) Hoffman.
Thomas was a 1953 graduate of Jackson Burgoon High School. Beginning in his youth, Thomas was a life-long farmer.
Thomas married the love of his love, Nancy Fox, on Sept. 23, 1959, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria.
He was a life-time member of St. Mary's Church. For 50 years, Thomas was a volunteer fireman for Helena Fire Department. He served on St. Mary's Cemetery Board for many years, was a member of Holy Name Society, and served on Jackson Township Zoning board.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Nancy; four children, Susan (Doug) Jeffries of Curtice, Michael (Beth) of Bucyrus, Eugene (Betty) of Helena, and Gerald (Julie) of Findlay; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Emma Rose Jenkins of Fremont and Carl of Burgoon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four siblings, Mary Eisenman, Herb Hoffman, Paul Hoffman, and Dorothy Alt.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church- Millersville, 865 OH-635, Helena. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Millersville. For those unable to attend, live streaming of Thomas's services will be available on his obituary page on the funeral home's website. The family kindly requests that masks be worn at all services.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Crematory, 319 W. Madison Street, Gibsonburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Millersville.
