Steven Michael Yost

Steven Michael Yost, 68, of Upper Sandusky, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 20, 1954, in Fostoria, to Alfred N. and Mary A. (Smith) Yost. He married Constance M. Cook on Sept. 17, 1999, and she preceded him in death May 1, 2010.

Steven is survived by his stepchildren, Dan Shook of Tiffin and Donnie Chester of Missouri; siblings, John R. (Shirley) Yost of Surprise, Arizona, James A. Yost of Fostoria, Margaret M. (Mike) Brady of Fostoria, Diane M. Yost of Findlay, Jerry P. (Tracy) Yost of Fostoria, Sharon L. Yost of Grove City, and Amy J. (Jeff) Wuebbolt of Cincinnati; many nieces and nephews; aunt and godmother, Dorothy Goedde of Columbus Grove; and aunt, Erma Brodman of Carey.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susan J. (Bill) Tiell of Fostoria; and niece, Michelle "Shelley" Yost of Carey.

Steve worked at Easco Aluminum, Fostoria, and Whirlpool, Clyde, as a crater, where he retired from. He was a member of Fostoria Knights of Columbus #1197. Steve enjoyed raising and walking his beloved dog Max, his good friend. He also liked riding four-wheelers, raising pheasants and releasing them to the wild, and helping his brother, Jim, work ground on the family farm. He enjoyed rabbit and deer hunting and going to the Kenton and Lima coon dog trials with his nephew, Adam Brady. Steve was an Ohio State Buckeyes and NASCAR fan.

A Catholic prayer service will be 10:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2023, at Bringman Clark Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, with Deacon Kevin Wintersteller officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery with military honors conducted by Upper Sandusky Veterans Color Guard. Visitation will be 10-10:45 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
