Roland F. "Tommy" Sendelbach

Roland F. "Tommy" Sendelbach, 98, of Tiffin, died Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 26, 1924, in Seneca County, to Michael and Nancy (Koerper) Sendelbach. He married Nova M. Haugh on March 24, 1945, in Ft. Pierce, Florida, and she died June 23, 2006.

Tommy's survivors include two sons, Michael (Lisa) Sendelbach of Houston, Texas, and Ted Sendelbach of Tiffin; three daughters, Rolanda (Frank) Williams of Toledo, Tonja (Don) Schneider of North Lima, and Adonica Sendelbach of Gahanna; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Patty Sendelbach of New London.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Thaddeus Sendelbach; two sisters, Dolores Stears and Rita Smith; and four brothers, Richard Sendelbach, Paul Sendelbach, Harold Sendelbach, and Leo Sendelbach.

Roland was a 1943 graduate of Calvert Catholic High School and served in U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943-1945. Tommy retired in 1985 after 33 years of service at Whirlpool Corporation, Clyde. He was a member of All Saints Parish and former St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-3113.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2023, at All Saints Parish, New Riegel, with the Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Bascom.

Memorial contributions may be made to City Mission of Findlay or Humane Society of Seneca County.
