Robert Peters Obituary

Robert W. "Bones" Peters, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert W. Peters Sr., who left us peacefully Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024, at the age of 60, with his two children by his side.

Born and raised in Fostoria to Robert L. Peters and Barbara J. (Aldrich) Conway, Robert was a devoted family man, beloved friend, and passionate NASCAR enthusiast. Robert found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in the company of his family and friends. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by loved ones, sharing stories, laughter, and creating memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Above all, he cherished the special bond he had with his grandson, Alexander, who was the light of his life. Their adventures together were a source of immense pride and happiness for Robert. An avid NASCAR fan, he was always cheering on his favorite drivers. His love for racing was only matched by his devotion to his loyal companion, Nora, his beloved dog, who was always by his side. Robert graduated from Lakota High School, attended Vangaurd and later retired as a laborer, from Clarke - American Lincoln in Bowling Green. He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Robert leaves behind his loving family, including his children Bobby Peters (Adrianne Harvey) and Brittney Peters-Everding (Taylor Peters-Everding); mother Barbara J. Conway; brother William L. Peters (Penny); sister Susan A. Weaver (Earl); grandson Alexander; and many other adored family members. He married Jennifer A. (Hershey) Peters, but they later divorced, and she also survives.

He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert Conway; and father, Robert L. Peters.

Though we mourn his passing, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and treasured moments. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Robert. Your love, humor, and spirit will remain with us forever.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to their gofundme to offset medical expenses. https://gofund.me/a7f166b4
