Richard Lee "Rick" Bowman

Richard Lee "Rick" Bowman, 75, of Arcadia, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.

He was born Sept. 6, 1948, in Fostoria, to Raymond L. "Ray" and Jean (Nye) Bowman, who preceded him in death. He married his high school sweetheart, Melody L. Hill, on Jan. 21, 1967, in Fostoria, and she survives in Arcadia.

Rick is also survived by four children, Mark (Allison) Bowman of Fostoria, Becky Bowman-Cole of Findlay, Jenny Bowman of Arcadia, and Chris (Becky) Bowman of Findlay; eight grandchildren, John, Drew, Dustin, McKenzzi, Keegan, Gavin, Paige, and Kamryn; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Larry Bowman of Colorado, Jim (Connie) Bowman of Tennessee, and Jerry (Dikki) Bowman of Florida; and sister, Joan (Dave) Beckwith of Mt. Blanchard.

Rick was a farm equipment mechanic at Bowman Implement in Findlay for 25 years and owned Tri-Ag Farm Service with Dave Flick for 32 years. He was a 1966 graduate of Arcadia High School and retired from Washington Township Fire Department after 47 years of service. Rick was quiet and laid back, but when he spoke, everyone listened. Rick treasured his '57 Chevy that was in storage for 40 years and proudly restored from the frame up. He enjoyed going to car shows and was a member of Pioneer Auto Club of Northwest Ohio. You would always find him in his man cave enjoying a cigar and drinking his Blatz beer.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830. Rick's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at the funeral home with Bob Hill presiding. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery.
