He is also survived by two sons, Mark (Dawn) McQuown of Upper Sandusky and Matthew (Kristine) McQuown of Warsaw, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Caylin (Sam) Quatromoni of Manhattan, New York, Jordan Nieto of Warsaw, Riley (Eric) Shafer of Delaware, Ohio, Seana (Cody) Francis of North Ridge, Corey McQuown of Huntsville, Delaney (Collin) Brown of Cincinnati, and Lyndsey McQuown of Upper Sandusky; four great-grandchildren, Airith and Arwen of North Ridge, Frances Quatromoni of Manhattan, New York, and Daisy Shafer of Delaware; and two brothers, Jerry (Diana) McQuown of Richwood and Jeffrey (April) McQuown of Kenton.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Richard, Waland, and Rodney McQuown.

Michael was a 1963 graduate of Kenton High School, where he played basketball his junior and senior year, and winning the league his senior year.

Michael retired from Tiffin Metal Products in 2007 after 31 years as a production control manager. His first job was at United Aircraft Products in Forest soon after graduating from high school.

He was a member of Harpster United Methodist Church and life member of BPOE #83.

For hobbies, Michael enjoyed golfing, bowling, spending winters in Pompano Beach, Florida, coaching little league when the boys were young, and following them in later years as they played for the Rams in basketball and football.

His great love was family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, where he loved to spend time with them through the years. He was fondly known by the little ones as Grandpa Great.

Michael's funeral will be private with burial taking place at Little Sandusky Cemetery.
