Michael C. Holman

Michael Carl Holman, 66, of Fostoria, passed away at 1:06 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

Mike was born July 12, 1959, in Fostoria, to the late Carl E. and Cordelia T. (Sheeter) Holman.

Surviving are his sons, Alan (Jordan) Holman and Tony (Jessica) Holman, both of Fostoria; his beloved granddaughters, Jyllian, Tinley, and Bayleigh Holman; his longtime companion, Bridgett Canaday; and his chosen son, Alexander Canaday. Also surviving are his brothers, Ed (Kathy) Holman of Fostoria and David "Stubby" Holman of Risingsun.

Mike was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and a 3rd-Degree Knight of Columbus. He was employed at Seneca Wire Manufacturing and later retired from Callies Performance Products in Fostoria. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, fishing, hunting, and baking. His most tremendous pride and joy were his three granddaughters. He made sure everyone knew of their accomplishments and how immensely proud he was of each of them.

Mike will be remembered as a caring, loyal, and loving man. He was never a stranger to conversation and had a warm, social personality that made others feel welcome.

Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St, Fostoria, OH 44830, where a Vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 8, 2026, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Poggemeyer presiding. Burial will follow at St. Wendelin Cemetery. A funeral luncheon will will follow in the parish hall of St. Wendelin Church.

Memorial contribu-tions are suggested to St. Wendelin Cemetery Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
