Melanie Frary Obituary

Melanie Sue Frary

Melanie Sue Frary, 49, was freed from her earthly body and met by her Lord and Savior on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022. Melanie passed away at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

Melanie was born Sept. 17, 1973, in Tiffin, to Larry E. and Susan I. (Dooley) Hatfield and graduated from Lakota High School in 1991. While in school, Melanie loved to sing and dance in the Show Choir. She also enjoyed track and her cross country team placed 17th in the state.

While working, Melanie enjoyed having hands-on experience as an orthodontist assistant in Bowling Green. Having a deep and unwavering faith, Melanie followed Jesus throughout her storm and crossed the finish line with a huge stride. Melanie grew up attending LeRoy Jenkins Church in Columbus and currently enjoyed sermons from Hedges and Highways Ministries.

Melanie will be missed by many for her sweet-loving spirit and tender heart of gold.

Melanie is survived by her parents, the Rev. Larry and Rev. Susan Hatfield; daughter, Brea Frary Ulsh; grandchildren, McKalie Ulsh and Manson Smith; sisters, Crystal (Jed) Wetzel and Gretchen Hatfield; nephew, Kaleb Moore; and husband, Bobby Frary.

A homegoing celebration will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at Hedges and Highways, 125 S. Main Street, Fostoria, with Pastor Linda K. Rook officiating.
