Mary Davis Obituary

Mary Louise Davis

It is with joy that we remember the life of Mary Louise (Reinhart) Davis, who passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at the age of 100. She was born in Alvada March 17, 1924, the fifth of eleven children.

She married her husband, Charles Davis, April 19, 1945, and they were married for 68 years.

Mary loved her family. She went to garage sales, played cards, went anywhere with her loved ones, and attended parties. She never wanted to miss any school activities or events of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a faithful member of Gesu Catholic church for 73 years.

Her legacy will live on through her children, daughters, Diane M. (Michael) Bohland and Debra R. (Daniel) Reese; sons, Jeffrey C. (Margaret) Davis, Randal J. (Laurie) Davis and Daniel J. (Bernice) Davis; grandchildren, Heather (Matthew) Zuccarell, Brett (Sarah) Reese, Courtney (Chad) Walters, Eric Davis, Amanda (Owen) Miller, Adam (Margan) Davis, Aaron (Reina) Davis, Stephanie (Anthony) Sciara and Danielle (Nick) Alonzo; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Megan and Natalie Zuccarell, Jonas, Lillian and Nolan Reese, Caylie and Allison Walters, Eric Jr. and Layla Davis, Reese, Blake and Piper Miller, Oliver, Camille, and Adrian Davis, August and Marcus Davis, Colin and Michael Sciara, Antonio Gonzalez and Ashlynn Callis; sisters-in-law, Carol Reinhart and Natalie Reinhart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; siblings Mildred Reid, Donna Schreiner, Genevive St. Aulbin, Joan Rose, Richard Marvin, Leonard Marvin, Ronald Reinhart, Jim Reinhart, and Charles Reinhart; and sister-in-law Anna Louise Abell.

Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. with an hour-long visitation prior Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, at Gesu Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to Care360 Hospice in Mary's honor for all the excellent care they provided for her. We would like to thank the caring staff at Genacross, Wolf Creek Campus, for their love and support.

Met Mary about 10 + years ago at Sylvania Senior Center and discovered she was a euchre player. That was the beginning of our friendship and a weekly game of euchre at Monclova Senior Center. Enjoyed her competitive spirit and fun playing cards as well as hearing about her involvement in family activities. I was privileged to attend her 90th and 100th birthday celebrations given by her devoted family. Several weeks ago I enjoyed a last visit with her at Wolf Creek. May she rest in peace.

Your mother, Mary, was such a good friend and support for my own mother, Bobby Orwig. They enjoyed cards together for many years as well as the sharing of each others' lives. I see they both shared the same birthday. What a splendid legacy she leaves behind. Peace be with you.
