Mary Kay Borer

Mary Kathryn "Kay" (Serr) Borer age 95 of Upper Sandusky, died at Blanchard Valley Hospital on June 19, 2022. She was born May 19, 1927 to the late Edmund and Adeline (Ulman) Serr in Tiffin. She married Kenneth A. Borer on Sept. 1, 1947, he preceded her in death on Feb. 1, 2005. Surviving are her children Linda (Larry) Schalk, New Riegel, David (Sara) Borer, MD, Ann (Lynn) Dunbar, Upper Sandusky, Theresa (Matt) Fisher, Findlay, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law Richard and Betty Borer, sisters Evelyn Schreiner and Betty Bodart.

Mrs. Borer was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church, where she served as chairperson of St. Peter's Festival kitchen committee, and was in charge of the church funeral dinners. She was a homemaker, and had worked at Ohio Power, and operated Borer-Elchert Religious Articles, Fostoria. She was a member of Wyandot Piece Makers. She played the violin and was a member of Bernie Bauer All Girls Orchestra, Tiffin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Mon. Jun27, 2022 at 11:00AM in the Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy Kummerer officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sun. June 26, 2022 at Bringman Clark Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00PM with a Catholic Prayer Service at 3:45PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E. Wyandot Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
