Marlene Ann Szallar

Marlene Ann Szallar 87, of Fostoria, passed away peacefully Friday, October 17, 2025, at home with her loving husband and children by her side.

She was born March 15, 1938, in Fostoria. She married Donald P. Szallar, April 23, 1955, in Angola, Indiana. They shared 70 beautiful years together.

Marlene is survived by husband, Donald P. Szallar; three daughters, LuAnn Szallar, Debora K. Clark, of Fostoria, JoLynn (James) Long of Findlay; and a son, Donald P. Szallar Jr. of Edgerton; a granddaughter, Lisa M. Clark of Fostoria; and a great-grandchild, Emerson K. Clark of Fostoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lenora Jordan and 12 siblings.

Marlene loved being a housewife. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, sewing, painting her crafts, her doll collection, trinkets, and flowers. She especially loved taking care of her family.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria.

Memorials can be made to American Diabetes Association or Bridge Hospice.
