Noel Nonnemaker Obituary

Noel A. Nonnemaker

Noel A. Nonnemaker, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Noel was born Dec. 25, 1934, in Wayne, to John and Alice (Beigthol) Nonnemaker. He married Shirley (McMaster) on July 25, 1959, in Hoytville, and she survives in Tiffin.

Noel's other survivors include a daughter, Stacy Hohman of Luckey; son, Bret Nonnemaker of Tiffin; grandson, Joseph Hohman of Luckey; and two sisters, Esther Schroeder of Cridersville and Mimi Schroeder of Wayne.

Noel worked as a boiler inspector. He was a member of First Christian Church, Tiffin American Legion, and Tiffin VFW, where he was a past commander. Noel was a 1952 graduate of Wayne High School and was an U.S. Navy veteran serving during Korea.

Noel was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jon Nonnemaker; and three sisters, Nanci Yoast, Janet Rubel, and Jane Atikinson.

Noel's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024, at First Christian Church with military rites being rendered by United Veterans Council.

Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
