Mark Moore Obituary
Mark S. "Griz" Moore, 68, of Hoytville, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, at Merit House in Toledo.
He was born Dec. 18, 1955, in Helen, West Virginia, to Dana M. and Erma J. "Wanda" (Hensley) Moore. He married Hope Kline on Aug. 9, 1987, in West Virginia, and she preceded him in death Feb. 28, 2017.
Griz is survived by four children, Becky L. Moore, Charity L. Huff, Jeremy M. (Dara) Moore, and Alana D. (Brad) Miller; grandchildren, Krista F. Ward, Brittany L. (Cordell) West, Mackenzie E. Ward, Hunter Dice, Karis L. Moore, Alexis "Renny" Moore, Mia A. Moore, Abbigail L. Ward, Adreama S. Moore, Gemma M. Miller, and BerLynn E. Miller; great-grandchild, Vincent Kane Wuensch; brothers, David F. Moore and Dana J. "Joe" Moore; and half-sisters, Kim Goins, Nancy Goins, and Robin Grose.
He was preceded in death by his parents; biological father, Forest Goins; and brother, Richard J. "Jeff" Moore.
Griz worked for Equity Meats in North Baltimore for many years and owned his own business, Eagle Freight Trucking, which was started in Tucson, Arizona. He was an U.S. Navy veteran and was stationed on the USS Butte.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, until the time of Griz's funeral at 12 p.m. at MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 407 N. Countyline Street, Fostoria, Ohio, 44830. Chaplain Larry Oberdorf will preside. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery in Arcadia where United Veterans of Fostoria Honor Guard will provide military honors.
