Marilyn J. King

Marilyn J. King, 86, of Fostoria, passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

She was born June 11, 1937, in Fostoria, to Maurice and Carrie Ellen (Payne) Walsh. She married Russell King on Dec. 7, 1960.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Russell of Fostoria; daughter, Michele (Donald) Cochran of Fostoria; grandchildren, Blake (Morgan) Lemley and Danielle Cochran; great-grandchildren, Adele, Nora, and Harper Lemley; and brother and sisters-in-law, Wanda (Doug) Hall, William (Carol) King, Anthony (Melanie) King, Linda (Richard) Perrine, Paul (Pam) King, Lou Ann Neller, and Stanley King.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Walsh; sister, Joyce Mayse; and sister-in-law, Lorraine Livers.

Marilyn was a 1955 graduate of Arcadia High School. She was employed for many years in the financial Department of Seneca Wire Mill. Marilyn later worked with her husband in the housing and rental business. She attended Trinity United Brethren Church. She enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, gardening, and family get-togethers. In her earlier years, she enjoyed boating and fishing.

Marilyn's celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at Trinity United Brethren Church, 201 W. Fremont St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830, with the Rev. Mark Self officiating. Burial will be private at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Good Shepherd Home and to all that had a part in caring for Marilyn this past year.
