Marilyn L. Craun

Marilyn L. Craun, 76, of Fostoria, passed away at 8:26 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, at her home after succumbing to a roller coaster of battling many medical issues.

She was born Sept. 19, 1947, in Fostoria, to Harry J. and Edith (Shine) Kimble. She married John H. Craun Sr. and he preceded her in death in 2013.

Although quiet by nature, Marilyn was a strong, yet stubborn woman. She enjoyed doing word searches, crossword puzzles, and collecting articles from the newspapers documenting her grandchildren's accomplishments. Her devotion was her family, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was proud of each of them and she loved her sons and daughters.

She is dearly missed by her children, Curt (Mary) Craun of Tiffin, Deb (Lowell "Buster") Litton of Arcadia, Kim (Wayne) Gaither of Thompsonville, Illinois, Tayna Craun of Findlay, and John Craun Jr. of Fostoria; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia (Frank) Bacon of Cornelius, North Carolina, Charlie (the late Judy) Kimble of Lima, and Dan and Dave Kimble, both of Fostoria; brother-in-law, Jerry Raudebaugh of Tiffin; and sister-in-law, Roberta Kimble of Fostoria.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three grandchildren, Scott Gaither, Kevin Craun, and Matthew Kimble; siblings, Don (Rosie) Kimble, Barbara Raudebaugh, and Richard Kimble; infant brother, Howard Kimble; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, until the time of Marilyn's services at 5 p.m. at MANN-HARE-HOENING Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria. Chaplain Kathy Fenimore will preside.
