Marcus F. Brown

Marcus F. Brown, 85, of Fostoria, passed away Saturday morning, November 22, 2025, at Independence House in Fostoria.

He was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, January 26, 1940, to Robert and Angeline (Adams) Brown. On October 10, 1959, he married Mary Lou Nighswander, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sons, David Allen (Cheri) Brown, Michael Lee (Christina) Brown and Joel Eric (Patti) Brown, all of Fostoria; brothers, Billy Brown of Westland, Michigan, Don Brown of Tiffin, Robert "Jr." Brown of Flat Rock, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Andrew Brown, Tyler Brown, Sunny Wildman, Michelle Bullock, Robert S. Bullock Jr., Jonathan Michael Brown, Sarah Sadler and Megan Brown-Ruble; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eugene Brown, Birdell Brown, Vernon Brown, Douglas Brown and infant John Brown; and sisters, Dorothy Tyree, Evelinel Brown, Wilma Lee Frazier, Loretta Combs, and Pauline Caudill.

Marcus enjoyed running his barn sale, playing poker and spades, and especially, spending time with his family.

His funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424, with Pastor Roxie Roush officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may visit with family from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
