Kristine Doe Obituary

Kristine R. Doe

Kristine R. Doe, 56, of Fostoria, passed away at 8:55 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born Jan. 12, 1966, in Fostoria, to David and Jean (Reiss) Spangler. She married Steven E. Doe on June 28, 1997, in Fostoria.

Kristine is survived by her husband, Steven E. Doe of Fostoria; mother, Jean Spangler of Fostoria; father, David (Vicki) Spangler of Moultrie, Georgia; daughter, Cami (Carl Rice) Niemi of Fostoria; son, Scott (James) Doe of Denver, Colorado; granddaughter, Abigail Niemi; sister, Jewel (Rick) Lydick of Findlay; brother, Stephen (Kami) Spangler of Fostoria; aunt, Marilyn Spangler of Dayton; and most loyal and best friends of Kris and Steve and Scott and Michelle Hofacker.

She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Virgil and Marguerite "Peg" Reiss and Marion and Suzie Spangler.

Kris was a human resource officer for Hancock County Job and Family Services, Findlay, for 29 years. She was a 1984 graduate of Fostoria High School and member of Fostoria Church of the Nazarene. She was also a member of Fostoria Moose and American Legion Auxiliary.

Kris was a very loving and caring person. She loved her family fiercely, especially her granddaughter, and loved to go to her children, Cami and Scott's, cross country races. When her granddaughter Abigail started running cross country and track, it became a passion for her. She never missed a race, no matter how far away it was. Kris always had a kind word for people and she had a laugh that was infectious and always brought a smile to everyone's face. She was very loyal! Kris loved to travel and the beach in Florida was her happy place.

She gave her love to her husband unconditionally. Kris loved the Lord and loved life. She loved her dogs and they miss her already. All who knew and loved her miss her already!

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, and 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830.
