Kenneth Beier Obituary

Kenneth Albert Beier

Kenneth Albert Beier passed away surrounded by loved ones Thursday, January 16, 2025, in Littleton, Colorado.

Ken was born April 8, 1940, in Sandusky, to the late Alberta M. (Elmer) Beier and F. Kenneth Beier.

He attended Sandusky High School (1954-58), where he played football and met his high school sweetheart, Linda (Wahl) Beier, whom he married June 20, 1959.

Ken was employed as a butcher for Pick-N-Pay supermarket and later moved to Cleveland, in 1962 to manage their meat department.

In 1973, Ken, his wife, and children moved to Fostoria, where they opened a small convenience store. Ken became a member of City Council and later served as Mayor from 1980 to 1990, contributing to Fostoria's economic growth and development. His experience as Mayor led him to work in Economic Development for the State of Ohio until his retirement in 2002.

He was a member of Masonic Temple, a Shriner, and a member of Elks Club. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan and never missed watching a game.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his two children, Scott (Michelle) Beier and Amanda (Beier) Kenyon; and will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Olivia (Scott) Perry, Taylor (Alyssa) Manns, Dillon (Eric) Solomon, Michael (Laura) Solomon, Scott Beier II, Nicholas Beier; and six great-grandchildren.
