Kathy Marley-Burnett Obituary
Kathy (Overmire) Marley-Burnett, 71, of Fostoria, passed away at 9:26 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
She was born May 3, 1953 in Fairmont, West Virginia. Her parents Carl and Ella-Mae (Ponn) Overmire preceded her in death.
Surviving is a daughter, Marlana (Thomas Spencer) Marley, Fostoria; son, Brian Marley, Tennessee; grandchildren, Evion Taylor, Iyanna Taylor, Dashani Taylor and Braedon Marley; a great-granddaughter; and siblings, Lori Overmire, Findlay, David Overmire, Texas and Connie Hickman, Bowling Green. She was also preceded in death by ex-husband, Mike Marley; and her husband, George Burnett.
Kathy was a graduate of Fostoria High School and retired from the former Honeywell, Fostoria.
Kathy will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed her motorcycle rides, cross-stitching, collecting Longaberger Baskets, reading, but most of all her family. Her long battle of Alzheimer's (over 20 years) is now over; she's now at peace.
A celebration of life visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830, with Pastor Jerry Copeland presiding a service at 3 p.m. A luncheon will follow in the funeral home reception area.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimer's Association Northwest Ohio Chapter c/o the funeral home.
