Joyce Ann Stewart

Joyce Ann (McFadden) Stewart, 86, of Fostoria, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, in Findlay.

Her life was filled with generosity and a caring nature which guided her in dedicating countless years to volunteering and charitable works. For over 50 years, Joyce volunteered at Blanchard Valley Hospital Gift shop where anyone could walk in and find a welcoming smile and even bigger heart. She was also a member of St. Michael's Warm Hats Project, where she knitted hats every evening and donated to any community organization in need.

In her free time, Joyce enjoyed knitting, gardening, watching old movies, and emailing back and forth with family and friends. She and her husband enjoyed their daily lunches at the park where they admired a heron they fondly named "Harry."

She found happiness in these hobbies and shared her creations with those around her.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Neil A. Stewart; children, Jeff Stewart, Jill (Stewart) Geoghegan, and Cheryl "Minnie" Stewart; and grandchildren, Madison (Geoghegan) Cottrell and Halle Geoghegan.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola McFadden; and father, Robert McFadden.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2024, until the time of Joyce's private funeral for family at 12 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky St., Findlay, Ohio, 45840. Burial will occur at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Findlay.

Donations in Joyce's memory may be shared with Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, American Heart Association, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Joyce will be dearly missed by all who knew her, as her kindness and compassion left a lasting impact on the community.
