Jon A. Nye

Jon A. Nye, 49, of Alvada, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at his home.

He was born Oct. 28, 1974, in Tiffin, to Harold C. and Velma M. (Droll) Nye.

Jon is survived by his mother, Velma M. Nye of Alvada; sister, Amy L. (Terry) Munger of Bowling Green; three brothers, Eric M. (Charlotte) Nye of Rawson, Keith A. Nye of Mt. Cory, and Steven J. (Andrea) Nye of Leipsic; and six nieces and nephews, Malachi, Gabriel, Lincoln, Aiden, Leland, and Addison.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold C. Nye.

Jon was a 1994 graduate of Arcadia High School and member of All Saints Parish in New Riegel. As a teenager, he worked for the Windmill Inn, Alvada, and later worked at Centrex and Hancor in Findlay. He also worked at the family farm and installed flooring.

Visitation and services will be private for immediate and extended family. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2024, until the time of Jon's funeral at 1 p.m. at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830. Deacon Greg Siebenaller will preside. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Alvada.

A funeral luncheon will follow at New Riegel American Legion.
