Jerry Leeson Obituary
Jerry Joe Leeson, 87, of Fostoria, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at his home in Fostoria.
He was born March 4, 1936, in Lima, Ohio, to Carl and Nellie (Yates) Leeson. He married Paula Wentz on April 26, 1958, in Fostoria.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Kathy Leeson, Debra (Scott) Brown, and Wendy (Chad) Shutler, 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In 1953, as a junior in high school, he joined U.S. Marine Corps reserves. Upon graduating high school, he continued his service and was active duty in Marine Corps until 1957. Jerry retired after 35 years from Cummins, the former Atlas. He was a 1954 graduate of Fostoria High School. He was a member of American Legion, NRA, and Aviation Museum. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
Jerry's funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home Fostoria. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Aviation Museum, Port Clinton.
