Jean Spangler Obituary
Jean Anne Spangler, 86, of Fostoria, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Birchaven Village in Findlay. She was born July 17, 1938, in Seneca County, to Virgil & Marquerite (Creeger) Reiss. She married David Spangler in August of 1959 and they later divorced.
She is survived by son, Stephen (Kami) Spangler of Fostoria; daughter, Jewell (Rick) Lydick of Findlay; grandchildren, Heather Hall, Tim and Adam Lydick, Michael McKinley, Alex and Chad Spangler, Cami Niemi, Scott Doe; 12 great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Steve Doe.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kristine Doe; and brothers, Marvin and Richard Reiss.
Jean worked as a bank teller at Tri-County Bank but also worked and was known as "Grandma Jean" at Wesley Center in Fostoria. She was a former member of First Church of Nazarene and Trinity United Brethren in Fostoria. Jean Anne was a graduate of Fostoria High School, played the organ and was in the church choir.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Mick McKinley & the Rev. Gary Reiss officiating. Burial will take place at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia at a later date. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Wesely Center or Trinity United Brethren Church.

Jean Anne was a fun, kind, warm, dear sister-in-law and the same to her brother, Richard, who has gone before her. God bless her memory and comfort her family who cared for her so lovingly.
