Jay Echelberry Obituary
Jay D. Echelberry, 59, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, in Tiffin.
He was born Nov. 1, 1963, in Fostoria, to Lynn and Kay (Willison) Echelberry. He married Kathryn Stultz-Echelberry in 1987 and they later divorced.
He is survived by his former wife, Kathryn Echelberry of Bettsville; three children, Kyle (Marina) Echelberry of Fostoria, Colin (Jhada) Echelberry of Westerville, and Jena Echelberry of Columbus; siblings, Lynnette (Tom) Titus of Waterville and Brad (Pam) Echelberry of Fostoria; three grandchildren, Kwinton, Mara, and Marsali; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Sue Echelberry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Rod Echelberry.
Jay worked at Arnold Machine, Tiffin, as a machinist and parts inspector. He was a 1980 graduate of Fostoria High School. He loved golfing, football, and bowling. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State University and Minnesota Vikings. He also enjoyed going to car shows.
Jay's funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Mark Self officiating. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday and 3-7 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Knollcrest Cemetary, Arcadia.
The family asks those attending to dress casual in Ohio State or Minnesota Viking colors.
Memorial contributions can be made to Humane Society of Seneca County.
