Janet L. May

Janet L. May, 65 of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by her daughters.

She was born September 11, 1960, in Fostoria, to the late John H. and Louise C. (Bulkowski) May. She married Juan Trevino, and they later divorced.

Surviving is her companion, Johnny Hernandez, Fostoria; four daughters, Monica M. (Brian Alford) Gutierrez, Fostoria, Mary R. Sanchez, Fostoria, Yolanda L. (Nic Mullennex) Trevino, Tiffin and Cenovia Y. (Cesar) Sanchez, Fostoria; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Gena (Jeff) Pitts, Fostoria, Bill (Jo Ann) May, California, Rob (Jane) May, Fostoria, and Misty Seasly, Fostoria; and a sister-in-law, Lori May, Fostoria.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Pultz and a brother, Rick May.

Janet retired from Seneca Millwork after 30 years of service and was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching documentaries, shopping, crafting, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Janet loved her family dearly, but it was her grandchildren who filled her heart with the greatest joy. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she had a remarkable way of making everyone around her feel cherished. Janet's presence brought tremendous happiness to those she loved, and she will be forever missed.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830.
