Jane A. Ewing

Jane A. Ewing, 90, of Fostoria, passed away on her 90th birthday, Sunday, May 18, 2025, at her home.

She was born May 18, 1935, in Fostoria, to the late Alfred M. and Eula L. (Keckler) Hammer. She married James D. Ewing, they later divorced, and he survives.

Also surviving are four children, Gregory M. Ewing, Debra S. Bradner, Vickie L. Hunker, and Steven D. Ewing. Jane was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that also survive, as well as her sister, Betty Mason.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, George M. Hammer and Robert J. Hammer.

Jane retired from Honeywell after 28 years of service. She attended St. Wendelin School and was an "honorary" member of the class of 1953. She was also a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where she was involved with the Rosary Altar Society and enjoyed traveling to Rome with the choir. Jane was also a member of "Just Friends Group" and loved golfing and bowling. She was especially proud of her three holes-in-one and picking up the "big four," 4-6-7-10 split. Faith and family were very important to Jane.

Visitation is from 11-1 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2025, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830, where services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Wendelin Catholic Cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the funeral home reception area.

Memorial contribu-tions are suggested to St. Wendelin Rosary Altar Society in care of the funeral home.
