James L. "Jim" Vitte Jr.

James L. "Jim" Vitte Jr., 63, of Fostoria, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at his home.

He was born June 29, 1961, in Fostoria to the late James L. and Alice L. (Baker) Vitte Sr. He married Ann Betz in August of 1996, and she survives in Fostoria.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sarah Vitte, Forest and Lindsey Ropp, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Evvan, Austin, Maison, Caylah, Caydence, Kenny and AnnaBell; seven great-grandchildren; two siblings, Rick (Sandy) Vitte, Helena and Linda Woerner, Risingsun; two nieces; four nephews; and five great-nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Vitte.

Jim graduated from Lakota High School and worked as a golf course superintendent for 40 years. He worked at Nature Trails (now Front 9) and finished his career at Fostoria Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, camping, hanging out with his friends and listening to country music.

There will be a celebration of life announced in the near future. Arrangements are being handled by MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 407 N. Countyline Street, Fostoria, Ohio 44830.
