James Kuhn Obituary

James A. Kuhn

James A. Kuhn, 97, of Attica, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024, at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.

James was born Dec. 3, 1927, in New Philadelphia to the late Marvin Bennet and Catherine (Shivers) Kuhn. He married Alverta "Birdie" (Clabugh) in Bloomville May 18, 1976, and she survives in Attica.

Other survivors include his children, James A. (Ann) Kuhn II of Spencerville, Jamie Ayres of Columbus and Dian (Bob) Holmer of Willard; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

James worked as a boiler operator for Pioneer Rubber. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 260 in Attica.

James was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, Dennis Athy; a stepdaughter, Robin Marker; two stepgrandchildren; a brother, George Kuhn; and two sisters, Dorothy Casebeard and Helen Coverty.

The family would like to thank Autwmnwood Care Center in Tiffin for the exceptional care shown to James during his stay.

There will be no funeral services at this time for James. Burial will be at Attica Venice cemetery at a later date. Lindsey-Shook Funeral Home in Bloomville is assisting the family with their arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Attica Volunteer Fire Department or Attica American Legion.
