Harry Applegett Obituary
Mr. Harry K. Applegett, 89, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died peacefully Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at his son's home in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Harry was born July 29, 1933, in Marion, to William P. Applegett and Eva K (Ballard) Applegett. He was an avid golfer and bridge player. He enjoyed reading and frequently volunteered his time at Punta Gorda Charlotte Library.
Harry's survivors include his children, Mark (Becky), Tracey D'Alessandro (Vince), Dave (Sandy), Richard, and John (Nipa); grandchildren, Allison, Timothy, John D'Alessandro, Kelsey, Jenna, Alexander, Taylor Hassel, and Camryn Hassel; great-grandson, Aiden; brother, Eugene; nephew, Todd Applegett; and many wonderful friends who became family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie (Endicott) Applegett; daughter, Erin Applegett Hassel; former wife, Antoinette (Wilcox) Risner; and former wife, Janice (Zeigler) Applegett.
Harry's celebration of life will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Twin Isles Country Club, 301 Madrid Boulevard, Punta Gorda, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Punta Gorda Charlotte Library in Punta Gorda, Florida.
