Gaylene Dyer Obituary
Gaylene Dyer, 75, of Fostoria, died Sunday, November 30, 2025, at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital. She was born June 24, 1950, in Fostoria, to Robert and Esther Moffit McCarley. She first married Robert Vanhoose Jr., who passed away and then married Tom Dyer, May 8, 2008, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
She is survived by her husband, Tom of Fostoria; daughter, Rhonda (Matthew Erman) Morrow of Fostoria; son, Randal (Shannon) Vanhoose of Fostoria; grandchildren, Brianna, Jason and William Vanhoose, Julia Weissinger, Kirt Morrow and Kendra Sheets; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Vanhoose Jr.; and brother, Daniel McCarley.
Gaylene was a beautician at Head Shed. She also worked at Centrex Plastics and Intermetro. She loved dancing and spending time with her family.
Funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home in Fostoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to service from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
