Garry Stump Obituary
Garry Franklin Stump, 69, of Risingsun, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Sept. 4, 1954, in Fostoria, to Robert P. and Donna F. (Walters) Stump.
Garry is survived by his siblings, Steven (Gail) Stump of Risingsun, Sherry Stump of Bowling Green, and Di Anna (Shannon Murray) Chilcote of Risingsun.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Donna; and niece, Sarah L. Bloom (Stump).
Garry was a 1973 graduate of Lakota High School where he was very involved in Lakota FFA. He then worked at McDonalds for his first job and then worked over 35 years at Norton Manufacturing. Garry had a love for collecting coins and baseball cards and adopted many cats throughout the years. He also had a passion for photography and was an avid Colts, Orioles, and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He cherished and adored his numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces, always bringing joy to their lives with his humor and playful spirit.
Visitation for friends will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne. Garry's celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Tamara Bennett officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery near West Millgrove.
Memorial donations may be made to Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice.
