Franklin D. Young

Franklin D. "Frank" Young, 82, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday evening, February 19, 2025, at The Willows at Tiffin.

He was born March 8, 1942, in Seneca County, Ohio, to Arnold and May (Hoffman) Young. He first married Clara Riddle and they later divorced. On January 30, 1981, he married Kathleen M. Murray.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen M. Young of Tiffin; son, Anthony Young of Tiffin; daughters, Shelly (Tiffany Dugan) Young of Tiffin, Angela (Michael) Kroetz of Tiffin and Pamela (Joe) Laugherty of West Millgrove; brothers, James (Zella) Young of St. Petersburg, Florida and Daniel Young of Willard; sister, Evelyn (Norm) Gannon of Findlay; seven grandchildren, Gabby Brown, Greer Brown, Seth Franklin (Shannon) Young, Cody (Brittany) Bryant, Cole (Tessa) Bryant, Jacob (Caylee) Kroetz and Brynn Laugherty; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene Young; and sister, Elizabeth Merryfield; and sister-in-law, Elaine Young.

Frank owned Young's Auto Repair for 47 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed camping, going to antique tractor shows and tractor pulls, flying, bowling in leagues for many years, spending time at the lake, race cars and anything with an engine.

His Funeral Service will be at noon Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m until time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
