Frank Boucher Obituary

Frank Boucher

Frank Boucher passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, with his family by his side.

Frank was born Oct. 13, 1933, in Fostoria, to Kenneth and Eva Evelyn (Cockrell) Boucher. His siblings included Louise Nye and Verna Claypool, who both preceded him in death. Frank graduated from Fostoria High School in 1952. Frank enjoyed shop class where he made several items out of wood that the family still enjoys. Frank and Marilyn (Bigham) were married June 23, 1956. Frank served in U.S. Army and was assigned to the state of Washington a few days after their honeymoon. After his service in the Army, they returned to Ohio with their belongings and two donkeys. They had two additional donkeys at home and they enjoyed showing them all over the state of Ohio in fairs and parades.

Frank and Marilyn have three children, Amy (Greg) Bickley of Fostoria, Jenny (Chuck) Holman of Risingsun, and Thomas Boucher (Neal Hendrickson) of Palm Springs, California. They also enjoy five grandchildren, Janel (Jeromy) Piehl of Findlay, Jason (Alyssa) Bickley of Genoa, Katrina (Jason) Rinker of Findlay, Jordan (Lindsay) Feick of Risingsun, and Rachel Feick of Findlay. In addition, they have nine great-grandchildren, Austin Piehl, Addison, Daxton, Colt, and Rhett Bickley, Bearett and Beckley Feick, and Jaxton and Hadley Rinker.

Frank's passion was farming, but he also worked at the Sugar Beet plant in Fremont, Owner of Quality Carriers Trucking, and worked at American Shipyard in Toledo. Frank also had a vegetable crop spraying business. Frank and Marilyn enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states and Europe, Spain, Portugal, Australia, and New Zealand. Frank retired from farming in 1999 and he and Marilyn became snow birds, spending six months in Ohio and six months in Arizona for many years. Frank was a member of Wood County Farm Bureau, Wood County Board of Health, Sun Grain Association, Dawn Lake (Arizona) Association, and Sun City (Arizona) garden club. Frank loved Ohio State football, snowmobiling in Michigan, and "yachting" whenever he had the chance. Frank and Marilyn are members of Union United Methodist Church, Fostoria. Frank always commented that he "worked hard, then played hard," and he told everyone that he had a great life with no regrets.
