F. Lee Ann Twells

F. Lee Ann Twells, 91, residing in Huron, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Parkvue Healthcare Center.

F. Lee Ann Twells was a resident of Huron and a former resident of Sandusky. Lee Ann was born in Fostoria and graduated from Fostoria High School in 1952. She attended The Ohio State University College of Nursing, where she graduated with a BS in Nursing, Class of 1956. She worked at OSU University Hospital, Fostoria City Hospital, and retired from Firelands Community Hospital, Sandusky, where she was Coordinator of Utilization Review.

Lee Ann was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and formerly served as chairman of the elders on the executive board. She was a past member of Sandusky College Women's Club, where she served on the executive board, Sandusky Yacht Club and Yacht Club Auxiliary, Erie County Republican Women's Club, the former CWC Investment Club, and the former Sandusky Women's Civic Club. She served as a Brownie, Junior, and Cadette Girl Scout leader while raising her daughters and has been a member of Alpha Phi Sorority since her college days at OSU. Lee Ann enjoyed traveling, boating, playing bridge and decorating for the holidays.

She is survived by her daughters, Jan (Glenn) Larrabee and Becky (Tim) Gibbs; John's children, Robert Twells, John Twells Jr., and Linda Loop; and grandchildren, Zack Larrabee, Alison Gibbs, and Aidan Gibbs.

Lee Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Twells; parents, Ellsworth and Margaret (Evans) Graham; and brother, Robert Graham.

Services will be private and burial will take place at Fostoria Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Groff Funeral Homes is assisting family with arrangements.
