Eloise Ireland

Eloise Ireland, 64, a devoted mother, cherished family member, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully at 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2025. She was a woman whose life was defined by love-love for her family, and a deep, unwavering love for the Lord.

Her warmth, kindness, and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her. She gave of herself freely, always putting others before herself, and her strength and grace were a constant source of comfort and inspiration. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she lived each day with humility, gratitude, and a heart full of prayer.

She was born September 10, 1960, in Bowling Green, to Lewis and Oralia "Lolie" (Perales) Cruz. She married Virgil Ray Ireland Jr., February 14, 1992, and he preceded her in death November 9, 2024.

Surviving is her mother, Lolie Cruz, Perrysburg; daughter, Melinda (JR) Thomas, Toledo; son, Joshua Ray Ireland, Fostoria; grandchildren, Austin and Jordan Craddolph and Alycia Yoder; great-grandchildren, Cason Lee and Ensley Eve Craddolph; sisters, Gloria (Sam) Serrato, Bowling Green and Julie (Nestor) Piuma, Avon; and nieces, Monica Boney, Toledo and Rachel Boney, Athens.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Ricky Lugo (2012); and her father, Lewis Cruz.

Eloise was a graduate of Bowling Green High School. She worked for Fostoria City Schools for many years and was a member of Wood County Baptist Church in Bowling Green and the church's bible study group.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family-a legacy that will live on in the hearts of those who loved her most.

Funeral service is at noon Friday, September 12, 2025, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830, with Pastor Steven Clagg presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Committal services and burial will be at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia. A luncheon will follow in the funeral home reception area.

Memorial contribu-tions are suggested to The Armes Cancer Center, Findlay or Wood County Baptist Church, Bowling Green.
