Dolores Ciampi Anzalone, 91, of Scranton, formerly of West Pittston, passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at home.
Born on Feb. 23, 1931, in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Carmella Fiore Ciampi Manzo and Joseph T. Ciampi.
She was a graduate of West Pittston High School, Class of 1949. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be truly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of 49 years, James P. Anzalone; and a sister, Carmella Salerno.
Surviving are her daughters, Grace Murphy (Anthony Randazzo), St. Augustine, Fla.; and JoAnn Alu (Frank), Scranton, with whom she resided; grandchildren, Carmen Alu (Sharon), South Abington Twp.; Joseph Murphy (Samantha), Madisonville, La.; Maria Lesh (Jim), Springbrook Twp; James Murphy (Kristina), Strongsville, Ohio; and Vincent Alu, Moosic; great-grandchildren, Amara, Maude, Jayden, Bryce, Isaac, Grace and Nathan; sister, Evelyn Sulger (George), Old Forge; brother, John Ciampi, West Pittston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St., Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church. Private interment will be held in St. Rocco's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Twilight Wish Foundation, 2370 York Road, Suite 2D, Jamison, PA 18929.
