Dixie Marvin Obituary

Dixie L. Marvin

Feb 22, 1941 - Sep 20, 2024

Bellevue

Dixie L. Marvin, 83, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at ProMedica Hospital, Toledo.

Mrs. Marvin was born in Conneaut Feb.22, 1941, to Ina Etta (Floro) and Frederick "Fritz" A. Kultti.

She was a 1959 graduate of Conneaut High School, where she was a cheerleader, majorette and a loyal friend to all. A friend of Dixie was a friend for life.

Dixie was raised in the Lutheran church. She loved music, especially listening and dancing to Doo-Wop. She enjoyed Lake Erie, from swimming as a child on the beaches of Conneaut, and then for many years on her boat, Dedicated II which included several voyages to Kelleys Island. She was a homemaker, worked many years in customer service, became a real estate broker with her own local business, Act II Realty, and then retired from Bellevue City Schools as Director of Transportation. In retirement she liked selling jewelry, cooking, shopping and maintaining strong relationships. Her true passion in life was her family, where she expressed her dedication through countless acts of never ending love. She made sure to pass on her wisdom, memories and her strong belief to never judge a book by its cover.

On September 16, 1961, she married the love of her life and favorite dancing partner Gary Marvin. They raised three wonderful children, Bret Marvin of WestChase, Florida, Bart (Kathy) Marvin of Bellevue and Michalene "Missi" (Roger Keesy) Marvin of Bellevue. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Gary Marvin, Kristen Marvin, Cory (Jordan) Marvin, Sarah (Robert) Grasley, and Alexandria "Alli" Ina Scott; and three great-grandchildren, Dahlia, Beckham and Charlotte.

Mrs. Marvin was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Amanda and David; a brother, Fredric "Fritz" Kultti; and her parents.

Family services will be held privately, with a celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fish & Loaves or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Auxter Funeral Home, Bellevue, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
