Denise Ellen Stahl
Denise Ellen Stahl, 74, of Fostoria, passed away peacefully Monday, November 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born July 15, 1951, in Findlay, Denise was the cherished daughter of Paul and Janice (Waaland) Stahl.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Janice Stahl and her brothers, Michael "Mike" Stahl and Dennis Stahl.
She married Larry A. Burkett (divorced), John A. Walter (divorced), David Cook (deceased) and Eric Robinson, survives.
Denise leaves behind a legacy of love as a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and cherished friend. Known for her grace, strength, and generosity, she touched the lives of all who knew her. Her laughter, warmth, and kindness created lasting memories that will forever live in the hearts of her family and friends.
Denise found joy in the simple things-spending time with family, sharing stories, and offering a listening ear or a helping hand. Her unwavering love and compassion were the foundation of her life and the greatest gift she shared with others.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her daughters, Jennifer (Shaun] Smith of Como, Colorado, Michelle "Shelly" Walter of Fostoria, Heather (Derek) Kidwell of Fostoria; and her bonus children, Jan (William) Paul of Sylvania, Johnna (Mark) Schroeder of San Antonio, Texas, Julie (John) Bodart of Punta Gorda, Florida, Preston (Jenipher) Cook of Mooresville, North Carolina. She is also survived by her sister, Sheryl Stahl of Fostoria; her brother, Mick (Becky) Stahl of Risingsun; 16 grandchildren, Breanna, Ashley, Cayla, Jamie, Mariah, Maizey, Keegan, Kalob, Camryn, Kendyl, Addyson, Jill, Brooke, Britton, Zoe, Carlie, Evey, and Memphis; and 23 great-grandchildren. Denise also played a nurturing role in many people's lives, including the children she lovingly cared for over the years.
As a faithful member of New Life Family Worship Church, Denise's love for God and others shone through in all she did. The world is brighter for her having been in it, and her legacy of love, generosity, and grace will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Celebration of Life:
A celebration of Denise's life will begin at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 West Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, Friday, November 7, 2025, between 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at New Life Family Worship Church, 800 Columbus Avenue, Fostoria, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 2 p.m, with Pastor Wyatt Foster presiding. There will also be visitation at the church one hour prior to service. Following the service, there will be a dinner at the church.
