Delores Marshall Obituary

Delores Jeanne (Grant) Marshall

Delores Jeanne (Grant) Marshall, 86, of Lakeview, passed away early Friday morning, November 7, 2025, at her home with her daughters by her side.

Delores was born November 10, 1938, in Lafayette, daughter of the late Harold and Alice (Dunbar) Grant. On December 8, 1961, Delores married John Marshall I at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Ada, and he preceded her in death in 2017. She was also preceded in death by a son, John Marshall II.

Delores is survived by her two daughters, Tina (Michael) Bess of Lakeview and Faith (Paul Miller) of Bettsville, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Delores was a 1956 graduate of Lafayette-Jackson High School. She worked at Allied, formerly Bendix, then Autolite for 30 years before retiring. After retiring, she returned to work as a cook for many years at Acheson's Resort. Delores was a member of Indian Lake Women of the Moose Chapter 452 and was a Red Hat. She enjoyed cooking, birdwatching, bowling, singing, listening to music, and playing Bingo and cards. She and her husband, John, family and friends made many camping trips across the United States. Delores loved boating and jet skiing on Indian Lake and spending time with her family, especially her special trips with her grandchildren.

A celebration of Delores's life will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Zion Lutheran Church, 101 E. Main St., Lafayette.
