David Lawrence Obituary

David "Pete" Lawrence

David "Pete" Lawrence, 69, of Fostoria, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 18, 2024, at his home.

He was born Nov. 28, 1954, the son of Glenn and Evelyn (Devore) Grove. He married Carla Estrada and they later divorced.

Pete is survived by his son, Dana (Shelly) Lawrence of Fostoria; and two brothers, Gary Lawrence of Fostoria and Ron (Susie) Lawrence of Fostoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Lawrence; and half-sister, Debbie Altman.

Pete attended Fostoria High School, class of 1973, and retired from General Dynamics after 38 years of service. He was a member of UCOA Shooting Club in Findlay and National Rifle Association. Pete was an amateur photographer and enjoyed riding his scooter, which his son, Dana, gifted him.

Public visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024, at MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830. Private committal service and burial will be at Fountain Cemetery with Pastor Robin Kapostasy presiding.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Heartland Hospice or Hancock County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
