Daniel T. "Dan" Vasalle

Daniel T. Vassalle, 67, of Wauseon and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, in Wauseon.

He was born Feb. 4, 1955, in Tiffin, to Richard A. and Virenia (Wertz) Vassalle, who preceded him in death.

Dan's survivors include a son and daughter; sisters, Mary (Richard) Bridinger of Tiffin, Annette (Randy) King of Republic, and Torrie (Dave Wise) Stahl of Tiffin; brothers, Joseph (Estella) Vassalle of Tiffin, Richard Vassalle of Maryland, Dominic (Diane) Vassalle of Fostoria, Patrick Vassalle of Sandusky, Antonio (Lori) Vassalle of San Juan Capistrano, California, Michael Vassalle of Fostoria, and Timothy Vassalle of Tiffin; stepmother, Marcia Vassalle of Tiffin; and close friend and cousin, Joe Price of Tiffin.

Dan was a graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, Terra Technical College, and Owens Community College. He worked as a Robotic Engineer for automotive manufacturing for many years around the area and England before retiring in 2007. He loved playing the guitar and was self-taught on both the acoustic and electric guitar. He enjoyed being outdoors, kayaking, fishing, watching Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football, gardening, visiting area parks, and was very particular about his yard work. Dan was a quiet guy that made many friends over the years.

Friends may visit and share stories 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. A graveside service will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or to charity of the donor's choice.
