courtney s- 38 when she died- a friend of mine for 20 years give or take- she was a wild child with a heart of gold. I have so many memoires, like the time she rescued a litter of newborn kittens and took them to work- she worked in an office world- so, she told her boss she had a tummy issue and left every two hours to go feed them- or the time she showed up here with a scratching post that was so big it took two folks to get it indoors! or the time she rescued a dog who had a tragic back story- she named the dog Paris, and treated the dog well, but the dog was broken beyond all help, and the hard choice was made to give her peace- i rode along with courtney to the vet, and watched as courtney gently held Paris until she was gone to angel dust, then grabbed that dog and sobbed and sobbed. Courtney was one of the good ones. Courtney was one of the kind ones and there are very very few of those around. Courtney was a great help with the Church of the Angels, providing much support, many volunteer hours, and always and i mean Always pitching in to help when asked.
I felt like an aunt- i knew her mom, good folk is her mom- that is how i met Courtney. I know her mom is past heartbroken, and i feel for the entire family, from daughter to grandma- they all weep- I know most of all Courtney is with her dog Buckeye today- and they will be angels to watch over us until the time comes for us to join them.
