Christy J. (Drubert) Williams

Christy J. (Drubert) Williams, 48, of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Summit Nursing and Rehab of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, after a valiant fight against a very rare brain tumor.

Christy was born May 28, 1974, in South Bend, Indiana, to Fred and Becky (Leachman) Drubert. She grew up in Plymouth and graduated in 1993 from Argos High School in Argos, Indiana. She moved to Tiffin and married Craig Williams in Aug., 1997. During their marriage, they had two children, Kaitlyn and Aaron. She worked at the Best Buy Distribution facility in Findlay the years prior to moving back to Plymouth where she resided until her passing. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing word searches and crossword puzzles.

She was always the life of the party, talking to people and making new friends while making memories with everyone. She loved to laugh and if you were a friend, you were a friend for life. She was always been the type of person to give you the shirt off her back even if it was her last one.

Christy is survived by her father, Fred (Dawn) Drubert of Plymouth, Indiana; children, Kaitlyn (Jacob) Walton of Upper Sandusky and Aaron Williams of Upper Sandusky; grandson, Lane Craig Walton; sister, Wendy (Bryon) Haenes of Plymouth, Indiana; brothers, Phillip (Kristina) Drubert of Rochester, Indiana, Randy (Alison) Hankins of St. Petersburg, Florida, Dan Drubert of Plymouth, Indiana, and Adam Bielinski (Danielle Young) of Plymouth, Indiana; grandmother, Lucille Leachman Kniggendorf of Plymouth, Indiana; stepfather, Michael Matosich of New Port Richey, Florida; aunt, Kelly Leachman; uncle, Matt Leachman (Pablo Szneiberg); and many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Christy was preceded in death by her mother, Becky (Leachman) Matosich; paternal grandparents, Fred "Fritz" and Ann Drubert; and maternal grandfather, Frank Leachman.

The family wishes to thank everyone in the community who helped Christy during these last several years.

Christy's celebration of life will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Plymouth American Legion, 1040 E. Jefferson St., Plymouth, Indiana, 46563.

Memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with final expenses or to establish a college fund for her grandson, Lane.
