Chris Seidler Obituary
Dr. Chris Alan Seidler, 79, of Fostoria, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born July 29, 1946, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Russell Howard & Carolyn (Hans) Seidler Sr.
He is survived by children, Kimberly (Kevin Jahna) Seidler of Fostoria, Christine (Michael DiNiscia Seidler of New York, Heather (Derek) Blount of North Carolina, and Arrick (Lacey Schiltz) Seidler of Fostoria; brother, Russell Howard Seidler Jr.; sister, Patricia Wolph; grandchildren, Aubrey Jordan, Danicka Seidler, Boston Dubocq, Vaida (Taylor) McGregor, Cora and Ruby Blount; great-grandchildren, Jackson Theodore, Wyatt Anders, Loxley Lira.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Candace Deem.
Dr. Seidler was owner and operator of Fostoria Pet Hospital in Fostoria for many years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wheeling, West Virginia, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, and a past member of the Fostoria Lodge No. 28 F&AM & New Riegel American Legion. Chris had a great eye for finding antiques, but some of his favorites were Fostoria Glass, clocks, & furniture.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, where military honors will be performed by Fostoria United Veterans. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, Fostoria Historical Museum or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I considered Chris as family. Chris provided care and treatment for many of our animals over the years.
Because of Chris, I got to spend close to 15 years with my patches. My condolences to Chris´s family and know that he crossed over, he was greeted not only by family and friends but, all of the animals that he cared for.
You will be missed Chris. Until we meet again.

Dr Chris was my Mom's vet for Daisy Mae. Mom got her when she was a very young pup. When Mom passed away, Daisy Mae came to live with me. Dr. Chris continued to care for Daisy Mae until his daughter took over. When it was evident that Daisy Mae had lost her quality of life, Dr Chris came to the office help her pass on. I loved him for that.
