Cheryl Grose Obituary
Cheryl Grose, 67, of Findlay, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at University of Toledo Medical Center.
Cheryl was born Dec. 29, 1955, in Bowling Green, to James and Betty (Seibert) Kaufman. Her mother, Betty McCartney, survives and James preceded her in death. Cheryl married Michael Grose on Aug. 23, 1974, and he preceded her in death Feb. 2, 2015.
Cheryl is also survived by her son, James Grose; daughters, Holly Grose of Findlay and Shannon (Randy) Vanhoose of Fostoria; nine grandchildren, Brianna, Jason, Julia (Jordan), William, Owen, Avey, Cali (Nick), Cadyn, and Josephine; two great-grandchildren, James and Peyton; brother, Kenny (Karen) Bretz; and sisters, Becky Palmer and Denise (Bill) Gilles.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Gary Kaufman; sister, Nancy Ebright; and father, Lee McCartney.
Cheryl was a 1974 graduate of North Baltimore High School. Following graduation, she began working at Hills Department store, Findlay Industries, and then opened her own cleaning company where her clients became close friends.
She was a part of organizations like Lupus Foundation and Blanchard Valley Women's Auxiliary. Cheryl always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved going to sporting events, Bible Study, and church at Stone Bridge Church of God.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay. Cheryl's funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, at the funeral home with the Rev. Shane Helms officiating. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
